Foundation “Journals of the European Ceramic Society“ - Funding opportunities

Individuals who have been members of DKG for more than one year and are studying or employed at universities, research institutions or other so-called non-profit organizations have the opportunity to apply to the Journal of the European Ceramic Society Trust (JECS Trust) for funds as a grant for certain activities.

Two different programs are offered (more information can be found on the homepage):
  1. In the project program A (General Activities)
conferences, workshops, summer-school, etc. are supported.
  2. In the project program B (Mobility)
grants can be applied for to carry out research stays in European laboratories.
This support for research and teaching by the Foundation is subject to a number of conditions, which can also be viewed on the above-mentioned homepage under Guidelines for Applications. Among other things, it is desired that the activities lead to high-quality publications (journals European Ceramic Society or Open Ceramics), in workshops and similar events students or young researchers should be supported, in stays in other laboratories the focus should be on learning new technologies or the use of special characterization methods. The homepage provides examples of sponsored activities as well as information on special events.

  • Application deadlines are May 31 and November 30 of each year. Application forms can be found on the JECS homepage.
  • The decision on the granting of requested funds is made by the board of the JECS Trust. In this context, it may be advantageous if you inform the DKG office by means of a copy of your application.

The DKG Board would hereby like to motivate all eligible members to make active use of this sponsorship offer.
