Congresses and Conferences

March 2020

Congress
Mar 18 - Mar 20, 2020, Jülich
The Spring School aims at presenting a current overview of ceramic materials and technologies for selected energy applications. A topical focus is put on high-temperature power generation (gas turbines, concentrated solar power) and electrochemical applications based on ionic transport (solid oxide fuel cells, gas separation membranes, electrochemical storage).

April 2020

Congress
Apr 20 - Apr 21, 2020, Höhr-Grenzhausen
Thema: „Anforderungen, Herstellung und Normung keramischer Boden- und Wandbeläge“
Congress
Apr 20 - Apr 22, 2020, Tivoli, Freiberg / Sachsen
Entwicklung feuerfester Werkstoffe (Nachhaltiger Umgang mit notwendigen/verfügbaren Resourcen)

August 2020

Congress
Aug 24 - Aug 27, 2020, Technische Universität Darmstadt
The biannual Electroceramics conference series was established in the late 1980s and represents one of the central international platforms for academic and industrial researchers to discuss and share the recent developments, discoveries, and emerging trends in the field of electroceramic materials and applications. The Electroceramics XVII will be held in Darmstadt, Germany, between August 24th-27th 2020. It will be organized by the Materials Science Department of the Technische Universität Darmstadt in collaboration with the European Ceramic Society. The conference will cover the recent advancements in piezoelectrics, ferroelectrics, thermoelectrics, multiferroics, varistors, ion&mixed ionic-electronic conductors, and caloric materials for energy storage and conversion, actuators, sensors, transducers, communication, and other related applications.

August 2021

Congress
Aug 29 - Sep 2, 2021, Dresden, Germany
The XVII ECerS Conference will be divided in 9 general topics covering most aspects of ceramic science and technology: Innovative processing and synthesis, high-temperature processes and advanced sintering, modeling of ceramics, advanced structural ceramics, composites and refractories, ceramics and glasses for healthcare, ceramics for energy conversion and storage, functional ceramics, silicate ceramics, ceramics in cultural heritage and art.
