August 2020

Aug 24 - Aug 27, 2020, Technische Universität Darmstadt
The biannual Electroceramics conference series was established in the late 1980s and represents one of the central international platforms for academic and industrial researchers to discuss and share the recent developments, discoveries, and emerging trends in the field of electroceramic materials and applications. The Electroceramics XVII will be held in Darmstadt, Germany, between August 24th-27th 2020. It will be organized by the Materials Science Department of the Technische Universität Darmstadt in collaboration with the European Ceramic Society. The conference will cover the recent advancements in piezoelectrics, ferroelectrics, thermoelectrics, multiferroics, varistors, ion&mixed ionic-electronic conductors, and caloric materials for energy storage and conversion, actuators, sensors, transducers, communication, and other related applications.

September 2020

Sep 01 - Sep 2, 2020, Dresden, Germany
Sodium batteries are the most promising low-cost alternative to Lithium cells. Exchange of ideas in this field is crucial for joint progress and public visibility. It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd International Sodium Battery Symposium (SBS2) to be held in Dresden – the scientific, economic and cultural center of Saxony and one of the most beautiful cities of Germany – from September 1 to 2, 2020.
Seminar / Training course
Sep 16 - Sep 17, 2020, Dresden, Germany
Join the top ceramic specialists at the exclusive event at the Fraunhofer IKTS in Dresden. In two tracks experts from industry to research will present developments in the ceramic process chain to advances in 3D printing and beyond. Completed by a guided tour through the IKTS and a small exhibition.

October 2020

Committee / Board session
Oct 01 - Oct 2, 2020
55. Treffen des AK Verstärkung keramischer Werkstoffe im Rahmen eines CU-Thementages
Oct 27 - Oct 29, 2020, Jülich
The Spring School aims at presenting a current overview of ceramic materials and technologies for selected energy applications. A topical focus is put on high-temperature power generation (gas turbines, concentrated solar power) and electrochemical applications based on ionic transport (solid oxide fuel cells, gas separation membranes, electrochemical storage).

November 2020

Nov 08 - Nov 13, 2020, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA
This conference follows from the success of the first six International Conferences on Electrophoretic Deposition: Fundamentals and Applications, organized under sponsorship of the UEF in August 2002 (Canada) and ECI in June 2005 (Italy), October 2008 (Japan), October 2011 (Mexico), October 2014 (Austria) and October 2017 (Korea). The goal is to bring together experts working in the area of electrophoretic deposition (EPD) with focus mainly on its application as a processing technique for the fabrication of both traditional and new materials and composites.
DKG Annual meeting
Nov 22 - Nov 25, 2020, Forschungszentrum Jülich
